That’s right folks! This is the fourth novel I’ve written at 80k+ words, and it’s a standalone in my “Vampire Wars” universe! There will be another version, and a sequel, in the future, but this magical college can be read without the books in the previous timeline. In other words, you can read this one without having to read The Kingdoms of Blood series!
I wanted a magical academia setting but for adults, and college is the perfect place to set that. This book explores my world building to a really fun degree, as we learn about various magical beasts in our world through the magical classes taught by Doctor Darcia Deville. We also learn about how magic works from our two humans, Professor Luna & Doctor Kelsy, who are on their journey to becoming legendary mages. They aren’t all powerful yet, as that takes years of training, but they’re taking baby steps with the help of other monsters.
By the time this article releases, my character page will be set up for the main characters as well. I bought quite a bit of art for them, and as I get more, I will add to that page. I’m an author who adores buying art of my characters, and I hope my readers like this gesture as well!
Otherwise, this book takes place in a dystopic setting, after vampires have emerged from the shadows to take Earth as their own. They are definitely not like anyone thought they were either-rather, they are living vampires, and you can read all about them for free here on my website, too. In fact, all of my lore is free on my compendium!
There’s lighter moments, comedic moments, dark moments, and gory moments. I take a lot of pride in my action scenes, particularly with how I describe gore, so I hope to impress with those scenes. You’re in for a major adventure, just look at the first sparkling review I got!
